It’s time for the Nesbitt summer serial!

We hope this update finds you enjoying the long hours and hot temperatures of our favorite season. Here in San Clemente we have yet to hit our warmest temps, especially as this year has been marked by thick fog and a great deal of overcast skies. In spite of the seasonal gloom, however, summer in San Clemente is a little bit of heaven, and we’re aiming to soak up as much of the glory as possible!

On the home front, we’d like to announce that our clan’s total has recently jumped from seven to eight! Kylie married Eric Nelson on April 13th in Arroyo Grande, California in a breathtaking outdoor ceremony and reception. They traveled immediately to Italy for a 10-day honeymoon, returning to set up house in San Clemente just a few miles from us. The newlyweds are thriving, and we couldn’t be more delighted. Within two weeks of the wedding, Landon finished his freshman year at Grand Canyon University and arrived home for the summer (he’s been employed full-time for the last few months by a custom wood-working shop), and Jarren completed flight instructor school, officially launching his professional career as a pilot. A week later, Alyssa moved back to Santa Barbara; she’s currently renting a cottage with four other girls as she works full-time and prepares to launch a worship/intercession ministry from their home.

In May we led a team from Heritage to minister for 10 days from our base in southwest Costa Rica. As always, God showed up in powerful ways to change lives and demonstrate His goodness! We had the privilege of leading “treasure hunts” on the streets of two local towns, showering students with the love of Jesus in a K-12 school, and partnering with the Lord to bring healing, salvation and prophetic encouragement in several churches. The trip was life-changing for our team, as many of them actively experienced the Holy Spirit using them for the first time to release His power and love. It was a joy for all of us to watch Jesus at work in this beautiful nation!

We’re excited to announce that CRSSM will be hosting its third pastoral conference in October! Our previous conference united 50 pastors from all over Costa Rica at our base in Pilon de Pavones. Having now outgrown the capacity of our base, we’re anticipating hosting over 150 pastors at a church in the nation’s capital of San Jose. This means that for the first time in four years, we need to ask for your help. In addition to leading a local church, the average Tico pastor works a full-time job just to make ends meet. Consequently, we provide the pastoral conferences at no cost to these leaders, a gift which includes resources, meals and accommodations. As a result, we need to raise several thousand dollars in the next month to complete the arrangements for the October event. Would you be willing to partner with us financially? Your tax-deductible gift will enable us to shower these pastors with refreshment, encouragement and practical ministry tools that will further the work of the Kingdom in Costa Rica. To be crystal clear, this is a request for a financial gift to our ministry, CRSSM, not to us personally. The money will be used to provide a pastors conference in Costa Rica on October 17-18. Thank you for prayerfully investing in the lives of these amazing men and women!
